Seth & Lauren | St Pete Shuffleboard Court Engagement
This is not only a super fun and super cool St Pete Shuffleboard Court/Downtown St. Pete/Hyppo Cafe engagement session, but the people in it are pretty special...let me explain...
I have known Seth for all but two years of my life, , because he's my little brother. I once threw a shoe at his head, but a few years later, we were playing David and Goliath in our backyard and he threw a rock at my head instead of just pretending, so I think we're even. We have a joke that it's a miracle I'm managing to live on my own, because any time we go to the store and I want popcorn, he always has to find it for me. One time he drove all the way to Orlando with me to see Owl City, even though I liked Owl City a lot more than he did. And he bought me curly fries. And Adam Young tweeted back to me. Thanks Seth.
When I moved away from home and started going to a new church, I met Lauren. I hung out with her just a few times, and my first thought was "Wow, I think she and Seth would really like each other." They both wanted the same things in life, had similar personalities, and i just saw it. I had them both come get Indian food with me, but NOTHING HAPPENED. Until a few months later when Lauren accidentally invited her whole friends list on Facebook to a movie night that our church was having. He thanked her for inviting him, she was confused, they totally hit it off, and now they're getting married!
In her own words..."On one occasion Seth and I were having different views on a biblical topic. This discussion carried on for a few days and both of us were quite passionate. Finally, I cancelled my plans for the evening so Seth and I could meet and open our bibles and discuss it...Once the issue was resolved, I wanted Seth to know that even though that we have disagreements that I still love him and want to marry him. This was one of the most difficult conversations we had ever had. We both wanted to be clear that we have the utmost love for one another and that breaking up wasn't “on the table”.
Seth kind of stopped when we were talking about that, he said “Well, I actually want to take breaking up off the table completely” he reached in his bag, pulled out a box with a ring inside, and asked “Lauren, will you marry me?”I think the range of emotions had me kind of in shock. I laughed a lot. Then I said “yes!”."
Can't wait for your wedding!
