Ken & Jen | St. Augustine Florida Elopement Photography
I have been dying, yes, thank you, my doctor was very worried about me, DYING to do some elopement photography, and when Ken and Jen messaged me and said "This will basically be the pub-crawl version of a wedding, we're eloping in St. Augustine, and we want you as our photographer." I squealed, jumped up and down, danced around a little bit, and composed myself down to a "YES!!!!!"
The day of their wedding was BEAUTIFUL. It wasn't too cold or too hot, the airbnb where they got ready was so pretty that I'm thinking about trying to just rent it full time. (Laterz, Tampa.)
There was such a quiet intimacy to the whole morning, preparing for the best day of your life WITH the love of your life is a pretty special thing to do.
We walked to the square in the middle of the old town and with 20 of their closest friends, Ken & Jen said their "I do's" just after their officiant and friend read the "Mawwiage" speech from the Princess Bride.
We all walked through the streets like any proper after-wedding processional in your favorite BBC period drama, and they fed each other Hyppo pops in lieu of cake. (Hyppo pops, are probably the best dessert ever)
Following a stop at Barley Republic, their reception was an intimate dinner upstairs at The Floridian starring some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had.
Refreshed and energized by dinner, we made our way back through the streets to Odd Birds to end the night, but not before we crossed paths with a bagpiper who played a second dance for the LOVEbirds. Extremely fitting since Ken and most of their friends are Highland Games athletes.
Thank you, you beautiful people for letting me be a part of your day
